Job Description

Requirements:

Must have an active NY RN license in handno exceptions
Specialty: MS/Tele
Schedule: 412-hour night shifts
Weekends: Every other weekend
First-time travelers: Accepted
Required Certifications: Chemotherapy Certification ACLS BLS
Must be proficient in Epic

Patient Care & Unit Details

Med/Surg Telemetry Unit:

Patient ratio: 1:5 to 1:7
26-bed unit
Provides care for:
- Post-PCI
- Pacemakers
- AICDs
- Post-MI
- Cardiac medication therapies

Hematology/Oncology Unit:

36-bed fast-paced high-acuity unit
Includes developing Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) program
Patient population:
- Active chemotherapy
- Count recovery
- Side effects of treatment
- Medical admissions with underlying cancer diagnoses
Staff will have opportunity for MICU cross-training to support the BMT program
Described as a cohesive fun team-oriented environment
