Job Summary
If you are a supplier quality engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Guadalajara MX through collaborative relationships with the supplier & Emerson team you will ensure Emerson requirements are understood and are successfully met in the suppliers current process.
In this role your responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for ensuring supplier quality performance and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
- Leads engineering initiatives to optimize production processes reduce costs and maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Develops and implements quality systems conducts supplier audits and collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
- Supports new product introduction and process validation while maintaining robust documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Influences supplier selection and qualification for critical components.
- Oversees manufacturing process improvements impacting cost quality and delivery.
- Works with suppliers and internal teams to achieve strategic objectives and ensure operational excellence.
Who you are:
Strong communication negotiation and leadership skills.
- Provides technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and quality specialists. May lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate supplier improvement initiatives.
- Interfaces with suppliers internal engineering operations and executive leadership. Maintains strong external partnerships to ensure compliance and performance.
For this role you will need:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in supplier quality and manufacturing engineering roles.
- Expertise in quality management systems root cause analysis lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Preferred qualifications that set you a part:
Role requires occasional travel to supplier sites and manufacturing facilities. Must demonstrate adaptability and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
