Reporting to the Development Database and Analytics Manager the Senior Gifts & Data Coordinator will provide a high level of administrative and operational support to the Advancement Services office working collaboratively with all departments within Institutional Advancement (IA). The critical functions include responsibility for gift processing and biographical records management maintaining the highest level of data integrity within the system of record and all supplemental technologies and general office duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Utilizing Emerson Colleges fundraising CRM (currently Raisers Edge NXT) to process all types of donations from various sources including those that are more complex in nature.
- Execute gift adjustments and feed gift transactions to Workday ensuring that gifts are recorded receipted and reported to reflect the donors intentions while adhering to specified legal IRS CASE and Emerson College policies and procedures.
- Create and update biographical records for Emerson constituents including donors and alumni utilizing supplementary technologies (i.e. ImportOmatic) to manage bulk imports of data.
- Build and deliver complex queries/reports/exports/lists from IAs CRM managing requests strategically with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Work directly and effectively with IA colleagues other departments as well as with Emersons Finance division staff to confirm receipt of gifts and accurate data in Raisers Edge NXT.
- Execute regular data clean-up and maintenance as well as manage other data entry projects as needed.
- Create and update procedure documentation.
- Assist the manager with training and support of Raisers Edge NXT users to leverage their use of the database.
- Assist the manager in implementing controls including gift reconciliation to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform job.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of data entry experience in a busy professional office environmentrequired including experience using demonstrated proficiency with Raisers Edge NXT (Web view and Database view) required.
- Experience working in higher education or the non-profit sector specifically in development preferred.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES May be representative but not all-inclusive of those knowledge skills and abilities commonly associated with the job.
- Strong database and CRM skills with a focus on data accuracy segmentation and database management best practices.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel).
- Requires the ability to effectively communicate in person and through communication media.
- Highly detail-oriented with a critical eye for accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies and processes.

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 hourly commensurate with experience.
