Job Summary
Essential Functions
1. Ability to interpret from English into American Sign Language ( ASL ) 2. Ability to interpret from ASL into spoken English 3. Ability to transliterate from English into a signed representation of English 4. Ability to interpret a signed representation of English into spoken English 5. Ability to interpret in person during busy seasons. Remote work only to be approved by the supervisor on rare occasions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience interpreting in higher education. A minimum of two years interpreting experience in a variety of settings using a variety of communication modes required.
