IT TRAINING SPECIALIST - USER ADOPTION SERVICES 32 - 40 hours Hengelo

You will be part of the IS/IT department. The IS/IT department is a team of 150 highly skilled and motivated professionals. We have embraced the Agile way of working and have 18 squads working in DevOps mode providing IT services to our 3000 Thales & GTS Netherlands colleagues.

We aim to deliver best in class IT solutions to our Thales Netherlands colleagues. This is done within our agile IT teams who work in close interaction with the colleagues in the business. About the role

The challenge as we see it is to boost the way our department envisions user IS/IT colleagues mainly have a technical focus and we notice that they often struggle with adopting the end user point of view and embed change management in their daily want to improve this situation especially regarding the way we roll out and support our main changes / projects.

As a IT Training Specialist you will play a key role in developing our services in the area of Onboarding Training Knowledge Sharing and Communication for Thales NL IS/IT ensure quality & homogeneity of Onboarding to our different environments and solutions (collaboration environment engineering frameworks standard workplace)

Knowledge Sharing & inspiration

You support our business colleagues to make the most of the solutions we deploy.

  • You have a good functional knowledge of current solutions and stay abreast of the latest initiatives within IS/IT
  • You actively share your knowledge both internally with colleagues and externally with customers through presentations and content creation.
  • You make sure we have an attractive and consistent knowledge base.
  • You increase awareness about our current solutions
  • You offer guidance for questions and problems.

Training:

  • You participate to the definition and implementation of our training strategy.
  • You ensure training quality & satisfaction
  • You occasionally organize and provide training (need defined together with the team Service Owner)

Service Optimization:

By improving current monitoring of our solutions use and analyzing user feedbacks:

  • You propose improvements to ensure quality & homogeneity of our solutions and services.
  • You guide your IS/IT colleagues to increase adoption

Change Management:

  • You increase awareness about changes to come.
  • You help your colleagues to determine the impact of changes on the process technology and people.
  • You support colleagues from the different teams in defining Roll Out strategies and creating change programs. You might be in the lead when it comes to major initiatives.
  • You participate to the definition of a systemic change management approach for our department and act as a trusted advisor for our colleagues.

Build a Strong Network:

  • You map the stakeholders and adjust your plans and interventions accordingly.
  • Proactively approach users and help them
  • Actively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • You create support among stakeholders and employees about the implementation of new solutions within the organization. and help develop and maintain strong relationships with them.


You have a User eXperience mindset and are focusing on providing our users with the best experience while also focusing on continuously improving our services and digital workplace. While an adoption consultant or change management background is appreciated for this position we favor mindset over experience.


Succes criteria

We are looking for someone who understands the importance of user experience and adoption. You have good analytical and communication skills. You are strong in taking initiative building trust and stakeholder management.

This assignment will bring you right into the heart of the Digital Transformation within Thales. Each change impacts people and how they do their job. While change happens one person at a time project-level change management can help facilitate this change across will help us to improve our training services and rollout strategy with a high focus on change management and user adoption.

About you

  • Bachelors or masters degree
  • You are functional & service oriented
  • You relate easily to user with different backgrounds and are able to adapt to specific user experience needs
  • You are able to translate operational insights into strategic inputs (alignment with User Adoption Lead)
  • You like to take ownership and are a self-starter
  • You are a strong communicator and motivator
