Job Description Summary
Outage Engineering is looking for Outage Engineer with GE Gas Turbine technology experience.
This role will be responsible for leading outage engineering support for planned outages such as outage scoping process including engineering scope recommendations productivity opportunities extra work identification and fleet optimization. This position will work with various stakeholders across the Gas Power business including Operations Global Ops MYA FieldCore Parts Engineering Configuration Management Application Engineering Product Service CSE and Product Line Management.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Sound knowledge of GVL GT technologies in E F and H class.
- Lead outage planning milestone review calls (18m 12m and 6m) with CPM/CSL/Field core with SQDC mildset to layout detailed Engineering recommendations provide outage scope assessment and Extra Work recommendations to help site to plan outages without any last-minute surprises. Captures the latest findings from the milestone reviews in the technical report.
- Apply all available reliability models and have a mindset to propose new ideas to improve reliability.
- Consistently work with product line product service CSE and Operations team to bring awareness on RCAs TILs best practices and lessons learnt and implement the right solutions proactively for upcoming outages. Also share the learnings/ best practices with team internally to help others learn.
- Liaises with FieldCore for technical briefing during outage planning and execution of the assigned unit.
- Look for simplification opportunity to optimize day to day activities.
- This role will also require core collaboration with Application Engineering to improve CM&U recommendations for the business.
- This role will also require to strengthen regional customer planning/account planning for mainly TX/MMP units with strong colloboration with sales Ops RAE team and ITR teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Atleast 10 years of engineering experience in turbomachinery design or power plant domain.
- Able to travel to site as needed.
Desired Characteristics
- Self-starter able to develop document and execute assignments with limited supervision.
- Strong team player.
