Are you ready to take your geotechnical expertise to the next level GHD is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Manchester where innovation meets impact. What Youll DoAs a Senior Geotechnical Engineer youll play a pivotal role in delivering technical excellence across a range of geotechnical projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Field Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and interpret geotechnical field data including mapping testing and inspections.
- Design & Development: Support the development of geotechnical designs and feasibility studies.
- Project Coordination: Align field requirements with short-term plans mine development and environmental protection.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and contribute to reservoir characterization and simulation.
- Innovation & Knowledge Sharing: Lead internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to technical developments.
- Client Engagement: Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Were looking for someone with:
- A Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- 610 years of relevant experience including supervision of junior colleagues.
- Advanced skills in geotechnical analysis geophysical and geochemical interpretation and data management.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects troubleshoot technical issues and deliver innovative engineering solutions.
- Strong competencies in collaboration decision-making planning and technical leadership.
