About the Role

The District Nursing service provides comprehensive nursing care to the greater Dunedin area including Palmerston and Middlemarch this includes specialist wound care (including ACC) intravenous medications administration palliative care catheter management and much more

The service is closely linked to Dunedin hospital to helpensure patients are supported safely in the community after hospitaldischarge while also maintaining close liaison with local GP practices Hospice and residential facilities. This is an opportunity for you to adapt and increase your clinical skills to become a specialist generalist. You will be out and about working in different places and each hour is varied from the next. Youll be responsible for planning and implementing care to a diverse range of patients in the community while also supervising enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants.

You must be registered in accordance with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 as a Registered Nurse and have a current practicing certificate. A full clean driver licence is also essential for this role.
