Job Summary

Your new role

Step into a rewarding role supporting children and young people in foster and kinship care across the Wimmera. Youll provide high-quality trauma-informed case management focused on safety stability and well-being.

You will work closely with carers families Child Protection and allied professionals to develop individualised plans monitor progress and advocate for childrens needs. Across your caseload you will contribute to permanency planning coordinate care team meetings and ensure the voices of children and young people inform decisions that affect them.

Youll also provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues and carers support the referral and recruitment of new foster/kinship carers and be part of the after-hours on-call roster.

A relocation package of up to $5000 can be negotiated to cover your move and assist with housing if you are considering relocating to Horsham.

Your skills and experience

You are experienced in case management and passionate about supporting children young people and carers. You bring a child-centred trauma-informed and culturally respectful approach to your practice.

Youll also bring:

  • Experience working with children young people and families who have experienced trauma or abuse
  • Strong ability to build positive collaborative relationships with carers families and professionals
  • Excellent communication report writing skills and confidence in coordinating care team meetings and contributing to permanency planning
  • Ability to manage time priorities and competing demands and competence using client systems
  • A qualification in Social Work Psychology Social Sciences or related discipline and a current Victorian Drivers Licence.
