The companys committed mobile allied health team includes Occupational Therapists Physiotherapists Exercise Trainers Massage Therapists Nail Care Therapists and in home Nursing. Summit Health Solutions aims to help individuals maintain independence and mobility to carry out activities of daily living as independently as they can.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for conducting clinical assessments of clients preparing reports conducting equipment trials and communicating directly with clients and their families. While this role is located in Canberra some clients live in surrounding areas of ACT/NSW you may even provide Telehealth consultations interstate. You will work with diverse individuals to help them regain their independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications and Role Overview

  • Experience or willingness to work within aged care rehabilitation and community service
  • Skilled in conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and developing individualized plans that address patients needs and lifestyle goals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records including assessments progress notes and treatment plans
  • Evidence-based decision-making problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and their families colleagues and stakeholders
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

    Willingness to learn and collaborate with others: You would be considered an integral part of our in Allied Health Home team and work closely with our OT Physios Exercise Nail Care AHA Physios and Nursing team who provide weekly in home services.
