Job Summary
Role: Patient Care Associate (Contract)
Location: New York NY 10019
Duration: 9 Weeks
Schedule: MonFri 11:00 PM 7:15 AM (Nights)
Hours: 37.5/week
Pay Rate: $15$18/hr
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Patient Care Associate (PCA) to support nursing staff on Medsurg Telemetry and Critical Care units. This role involves providing direct patient care maintaining a safe environment and assisting with clinical and unit support tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
Obtain and document vital signs I/O and pain scores
Assist with ADLs mobility transfers and patient safety observation (1:1)
Perform specimen collection EKGs venipuncture and skin integrity checks
Support RNs during procedures and maintain clean safe patient rooms
Transport patients deliver meals update records/boards operate tube systems
Respond to call bells phones and assist visitors professionally
Requirements
Minimum 2 years hospital experience (required)
Active BLS (AHA)
Strong communication teamwork and ability to float to all units
Physical stamina and ability to work in high-acuity areas
Preferred: Experience in Medsurg/Tele/ICU; prior PCA/healthcare support experience
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent; facility PCA orientation provided.
