The Role
The employer is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join the Underground Mobile Maintenance Team. The successful candidate will support the reliability safety and performance of a large mobile fleet used in underground mining operations.
You will be working with a supportive crew of trades professionals in a well-equipped maintenance workshop.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair faults on underground mobile equipment including loaders trucks drills and ancillary fleet
Conduct scheduled servicing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
Carry out component replacements and rebuilds as required
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely and in line with site procedures
Liaise with operators and supervisors to minimise equipment downtime
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
A trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent recognised in Australia)
Experience with underground mobile plant (or strong heavy industry/mobile plant maintenance background)
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
A high commitment to safety and teamwork
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced underground environment
