A high-performing secondary school in Birmingham is recruiting a School Business Manager for a January 2026 start. The school is seeking an organised forward-thinking leader who can oversee finance HR premises and compliance while contributing to the wider strategic direction of the school.

The Operations department is a core pillar of the schools success. With specialist teams for Finance HR Site & Facilities IT and Administration the SBM will have strategic oversight of daily operations and long-term planning. Experience and Qualifications
Proven experience in school business management or senior operations roles
Strong financial literacy with experience managing large budgets
Understanding of HR processes payroll H&S and compliance
Ability to lead multiple teams and drive continuous improvement
Professional qualifications (AAT CIPFA HR qualifications CSBM/DSBM) desirable
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
