About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Hunter to drive new-logo acquisition and expand strategic presence within the Oil & Gas (O&G) sector. This role focuses on building new client relationships identifying opportunities and driving revenue across the Energy & Utilities landscape in Texas-primarily Houston.
The ideal candidate is a strong sales professional with experience selling IT/engineering services or solutions into O&G organizations and has a proven track record of landing new accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new logo acquisition within the O&G and Energy & Utilities market across Texas.
- Develop and execute a territory-based sales penetration strategy focused on Houston and surrounding areas.
- Identify qualify and pursue high-value opportunities in O&G upstream midstream and downstream segments.
- Build strong relationships with client leaders in operations digital IT engineering and procurement.
- Lead the full sales lifecycle-prospecting lead generation qualification proposal negotiation and closure.
- Collaborate with delivery and solution teams to craft compelling proposals and client presentations.
- Maintain an active pipeline ensuring consistent forecasting and revenue achievement.
- Represent the organization at industry events networking forums and O&G conferences.
- Stay updated on O&G trends digital transformation initiatives regulatory changes and competitive landscapes.
Qualifications
- 5 12 years of experience in hunting / new business development roles.
- Strong background selling into Oil & Gas / Energy & Utilities accounts.
- Proven success securing new logos in Texas ideally in the Houston area.
- Experience selling IT services digital transformation engineering services cloud data or consulting offerings.
- Exceptional communication negotiation and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive high-velocity sales cycles.
- Deep understanding of O&G industry structure key players and buying centers.
Preferred Skills
- Existing relationships within major O&G accounts in Houston.
- Experience handling multimillion-dollar deal cycles.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to position value-led solutions.
- Strong pipeline discipline and CRM proficiency.
