Echo Technologist Regular Full-Time (Days)
Position Summary The Echo Technologist performs diagnostic echocardiography studies in accordance with established imaging protocols and professional standards. This role is responsible for acquiring high-quality cardiac ultrasound images supporting cardiologists during interpretation and ensuring accurate documentation. The technologist works independently and collaboratively with clinical teams to support timely patient care. Participation in night and weekend call rotation is required.
Key Responsibilities -
Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and additional cardiac ultrasound studies as ordered.

Acquire optimize and document high-quality echocardiographic images and measurements.

Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures clearly and professionally.

Monitor and assist patients during testing ensuring safety and comfort.

Document technical findings and ensure accurate entry into the EMR and PACS systems.

Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment; ensure rooms are clean and prepared.

Collaborate with cardiologists nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to support clinical workflow.

Participate in required call rotation for nights and weekends.

Follow all imaging safety infection-control and patient-privacy standards.

Perform additional duties within scope as assigned.
Qualifications -
ARDMS (or equivalent) cardiac sonography registration required.

Current BLS (AHA) certification.

Minimum 2 years of recent echocardiography experience preferred.

Proficiency with cardiac ultrasound equipment PACS and EMR platforms.
