Job Summary

About the Role

The Dispatcher coordinates the movement of live haul trucks drivers and forklifts ensuring efficient transport operations. This role manages documentation communicates with crews and supports overall departmental operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch live haul trucks drivers and forklifts.
Coordinate with live haul crews for the collection and transport of live chickens to processing plants.
Weigh trucks and ensure accurate documentation of live haul tickets.
Manage department paperwork and maintain proper records.
Handle incoming and outgoing calls through phone systems.
Make important decisions and prioritize tasks within the department.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Previous experience in live haul dispatching preferred.
Experience with MTech preferred.
Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Strong organizational record-keeping and follow-up skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with computer applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Office environment with standard office equipment.
Good hearing for communication in potentially noisy settings.
Frequent sitting for extended periods.
