The Process Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise in the design and development of process systems for industrial projects within an EPCM environment. This role involves conceptual and detailed engineering process simulation equipment specification and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. The engineer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe efficient and cost-effective solutions for mineral beneficiation plants.

- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and mass balance calculations.
- Perform process simulations and calculations for sizing equipment and systems. Prepare technical specifications and data sheets for process equipment.
- Ensure designs meet regulatory safety and environmental standards.
- Provide input during procurement construction and commissioning phases.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to integrate process requirements.
- Support project planning cost estimation and risk assessments.
- Plan and review laboratory and pilot-scale testing to validate process parameters.
- Collaborate with civil structural mechanical and EC&I engineers on plant design and integration. Prepare technical reports feasibility studies and cost estimates for projects.
- Conduct site visits and manage on-site activities during execution or commissioning phases (locally and internationally).
- Bachelors degree in chemical engineering or metallurgical engineering.
- 7 years of experience
- Strong background in mineral processing.
- Knowledge of leaching solvent extraction precipitation and electrowinning processes is advantageous
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of project management and EPCM workflows.
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with commissioning and/or a production environment is advantageous.
