Job Summary

Lead Veterinarian Columbus GA

A veterinary practice in Valdosta Georgia is seeking a Lead Veterinarian to guide the medical team and foster a positive collaborative environment. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys both practicing high-quality medicine and supporting the professional growth of others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical leadership and uphold standards of patient care

  • Mentor and support associate veterinarians and technical staff

  • Partner with management on staffing scheduling and operational goals

  • Oversee compliance with state and federal veterinary regulations

  • Build client trust through clear communication and compassionate service

  • Balance a diverse caseload of medical appointments and surgeries

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent (ECFVG/PAVE accepted)

  • Active veterinary license (or eligibility for licensure) in Georgia

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
