| Job Description: | The Horticultural Science Department UF/IFAS Horticultural Science Research Grove is looking for someone to join our team as a full-time field technician. The following list is not all-inclusive nor does it cover the full extent of duties to be performed: - Fieldwork involving propagation planting and cultivation of peaches citrus and avocado trees.
- Data collection at experimental trials and analyses in the greenhouse and laboratory.
- Monitor the trees requirements and control measurements on microbial or insect infestations.
- Maintain maps and records of materials and activities for trial.
- Assists researchers and personnel for planting fertilizing and pruning trees.
- Collect and prepare samples from trials (fruit soil leaf).
- Travel to research tree fruit locations in central and south Florida.
