Our client a well-established and growing independent accountancy practice based in Stony Stratford Milton Keynes is looking to appoint a Semi Senior Accountant to join their expanding team.
The firm has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality accountancy taxation and business advisory services to small and medium-sized businesses. With continued organic growth and a supportive leadership team this role offers an excellent opportunity for someone currently working within a UK accountancy practice who is looking to broaden their technical experience work more closely with clients and progress their professional qualifications.
You will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients hands-on advisory work and a collaborative environment where your development is genuinely supported.
Key Responsibilities
Acting as a key point of contact for a varied portfolio of SME clients
Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships through excellent service
Preparing Statutory Accounts for a range of businesses
Preparing Corporation Tax Returns
Preparing Self-Assessment Tax Returns and P11Ds
Preparing Real Time Capital Gains Tax reports
Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
Attending and participating in regular client meetings
Managing multiple assignments while ensuring deadlines are consistently met
The Ideal Candidate
AAT qualified and currently studying towards ACCA or ACA
Minimum of 2 years experience within a UK accountancy practice
Strong experience using Xero or other cloud-based accounting platforms
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
Confident communicating with clients and managing a varied workload
Desirable
Experience using IRIS software
Exposure to advisory-led client work
