Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Specialist (Junior Data Architect) to join our Financial Systems Tech Support CAT IT Division.

The incumbent would help design review and implement modern data platforms on AWS and Snowflake to enable advanced analytics and support global finance transformation initiatives.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore PSN Office KA-India

What you will do

As a Junior Data Architect on the Finance Data Platform Team you will help design review and implement modern data platforms on AWS and Snowflake to enable advanced analytics and support global finance transformation initiatives.

Data Architecture & Modeling:

• Design enterprise data integration patterns and models.
• Create technical documentation and diagrams.
• Define data extraction and transformation rules.

Solution & System Design:

• Architect end-to-end integrated systems for multiple business units.
• Maintain architecture blueprints aligned with enterprise standards.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Partner with Product Owners and Data Engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Build consensus on technical solutions and guide implementation.

Innovation & Technology Evaluation:

• Research and prototype new technologies and platforms.
• Stay current with industry trends and share insights.

What you will have

• Bachelors degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in AWS and Snowflake; strong hands-on coding skills in python and sql.
• Strong SQL expertise.
• Strong python knowledge
• Good knowledge on Spark
• Good to have knowledge on ReactJs
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g. Datastage Informatica Snaplogic).
• Knowledge of AWS Glue Lambda Step Functions Event Bridge Cloud Monitoring ALB ECS Fargate
• Familiarity with data integration architecture and design.
• This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AWS Python Spark.
• Knowledge of Qlik replication tool.
• Exposure to Agile SDLC CI/CD and cloud-based development.
• Familiarity with ML and data analytics.

Follows established procedures in defining client requirements for cloud services.

Database Design (Physical): Knowledge of database systems; ability to establish a data model for designing an organizations database that runs effectively and efficiently for better business outcome.

Participates in the establishment of data structures based on their relationships.
Adheres to an organizations database design policies.
Utilizes database design tools and techniques.
Tests the effectiveness of the database before its release for business use.

ETL Process: Knowledge of the extraction transformation and loading (ETL) process; ability to develop a database through the ETL process.
Level Working Knowledge:
Ensures the accuracy and effectiveness of data provided for the warehouse.
Loads selected data into the warehouse on a regular basis.
Derives necessary business or technical information from original data.
Acquires a large amount of data from different sources/systems.
Solves technical and administrative problems during the ETL process.

Information Management: Knowledge of an organizations existing and planned Information Architecture and Information Management (IM) methodology; ability to collect and manage information from different sources and distribute this information to enhance operational efficiency.
Level Working Knowledge:
Assists in the installation configuration and support of information management software.
Participates in developing back-up recovery and archival practices and procedures.
Analyzes issues and requirements for managing information resources.
Follows organizational guidelines and policies on information management.
Makes recommendations for enhancements to centralized and distributed databases.

Modeling: Data Process Events Objects: Knowledge of data process and events; ability to use tools and techniques for analyzing and documenting logical relationships among data processes or events.
Level Working Knowledge:
Defines common types of data processes or event models.
Participates in model reviews and walkthroughs.
Explains existing models to clients and describes their associated business processes.
Focuses on modifying Data Structure Access and Entity Relationship Diagrams.
Prepares reports to recap current findings and issues in data processes or event models.
