Mission
Avesta is seeking an experienced Legal Director to join our dynamic team tolead our legal department and provide expert guidance on all legal matters affecting the company. This role requires a proactive leader with strong business acumen and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all legal operations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Advise senior management on legal risks corporate governance and strategic decisions.
- Draft review and negotiate contracts agreements and other legal documents.
- Manage litigation disputes and relationships with external counsel.
- Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation and regulatory changes impacting the business.
Requirements
- Law degree; admission to practice law in jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law commercial contracts and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment.
