Manufacturing Engineering interns can expect to learn production operations and the manufacturing discipline in a controlled environment. They develop manufacturing skills an understanding of manufacturing engineering or production test engineering and Raytheon systems and tools. Manufacturing Engineers build technical depth in manufacturing or testing processes and are accountable for improvement and optimization.

What You Will Do:

• Design control and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
• Improve cycle time and lead time
• Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
• Create and oversee improvement projects
• Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
• Perform hardware defect analysis
• Participate in corrective action investigations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be at least a sophomore by the start of summer 2026 pursuing a bachelors or masters degree majoring in Manufacturing Mechanical Industrial Aerospace or closely related Engineering major.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

• 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
• Experience with manufacturing
• Experience or education with lean manufacturing
• Experience/education with technical writing and interpretation of technical documentation
• Experience or education with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance analysis
• Strong engineering aptitude and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Technical problem solving
• Experience/education with project execution
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel PPT Project Word)

• Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
