Job Summary
CNC Programmer
Direct opportunity
Rate: $60-75K
Hours: 7am-3pm
Wilmington OH
Responsibilities:
- Develop write and implement CNC programs to control automated machinery ensuring they are efficient and error-free.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to determine dimensions tolerances and the best manufacturing processes.
- Select appropriate cutting tools set machine speeds and feed rates and manually adjust programs as needed for optimal performance.
- Monitor production runs to ensure parts are manufactured to exact specifications and troubleshoot any problems that arise.
- Update and modify existing programs for new parts or different machines and maintain a tooling database.
- Work with other team members such as machinists and engineers to resolve issues and improve processes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of CNC programming
- Trade school certificate preferred
- Ability to maximum programming for greater efficiency
- Good working experience with CAM
- Strong understanding of machining processes materials and CNC machine operation
- Experience with G-code and M-code and the ability to adapt to different programming languages
- Ability to read and accurately interpret technical blueprints and schematics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
- Meticulous and detail-oriented approach is crucial for accuracy
- Knowledge of mathematical principles related to geometry and calculations is important
