Embedded Engineer, C++

Were looking for an Embedded C Engineer to join the team at Snap Inc!

What youll do:

• Lead or participate in the design architecture and implementation of embedded software in both prototype and shipping consumer products

• Implement design and integrate the Webengine responsible for powering the Web experiences on the next generation of Spectacles.

• Participate in design reviews code review with peers and stakeholders to create reliable solutions

• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Strong Software Development skills including: source control bug tracking and design documentation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and software debugging skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent years of experience

• 2 years of experience with embedded software development

• Proficiency programming in C (including modern features RAII memory management)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science (or a related field).

• Expertise in Graphics APIs including WebGL/WebGPU and OpenGL.

• Experience with major Webengines like Chromium WebKit or Gecko.

• Knowledge of or strong interest in web specifications and standards.

• Experience contributing to open-source projects.

• Familiarity with JavaScript and WebXR.
