Job Summary
This is a remote position.
We are seeking bilingual CantoneseEnglish speakers who are passionate about languages and helping others. If you want to start a career as a medical interpreter this is your opportunity.
LBS offers a FREE 2-week training program that will prepare you with the skills and knowledge needed to work in medical interpreting. After completing the training candidates will take a Language Assessment Test. Those who pass will be eligible to apply for a position as an Over-the-Phone (OPI) Medical Interpreter with LanguageBridge Solutions.
In this role you will help ensure accurate communication between Cantonese-speaking patients and English-speaking medical professionals enabling patients to receive proper care and support.

Requirements
Bilingual/Native proficiency in Cantonese and English
Cantonese as your mother or main language
English level C1 or higher
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication listening note-taking and memory skills
Ability to remain professional neutral and impartial
Strong emotional intelligence and respect for cultural differences
Willingness to take the Language Assessment Test after training
Fully remote role must meet basic technical home-office requirements (stable internet quiet workspace compatible device)
