Job Summary

Summary

We are seeking skilled professionals for two roles: a Qualified Carpenter/Locksmith and a Qualified Window Specialist. Both positions require expertise in working within communal areas performing repairs and ensuring the security and functionality of various structures. These roles are crucial in maintaining the integrity and safety of our facilities addressing increased workload demands over a 12-week period.

Responsibilities

Qualified Carpenter/Locksmith:

Perform repairs and maintenance in communal areas.
Execute forced entries and lock changes on various locks and doors.
Repair UPVC Timber sash Metal and crittall windows.
Complete joinery repairs including making and fitting doors.
Repair and secure doors and make safes.
Fix or replace fencing and gates.

Qualified Window Specialist:

Diagnose and repair faults in UPVC Timber sash Metal and crittall windows and doors.
Conduct comprehensive repairs on windows and doors.
Innovate and problem-solve repair challenges.
Engage in additional carpentry tasks as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in carpentry and locksmithing or window repairs.
Ability to work effectively in communal environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
Additional skills in wet trade works such as plastering and decorating are advantageous.

Additional Information

Duration: 12 weeks
Hours per week: 36
IR35 status: Inside
Rate:
- PAYE: 21.66 per hour
- Limited/Umbrella: 28.24 per hour

Required Skills:

Requirements: Basic understanding of waste and refuse collection processes. Ability to operate collection vehicles and equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Good physical stamina and ability to work in various weather. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Previous experience in waste management or a related field is a plus but not required.
