Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a clinically skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join a high-volume regional laboratory team in an advanced acute care setting. This role involves performing complex diagnostic testing across multiple laboratory specialties and providing critical support for clinical decision-making in patient care. Candidates with clinical rotations prior laboratory experience or expertise in complex specimen processing are highly valued. New graduates with an active or pending Florida license will receive training.
Required Qualifications
Strong foundational laboratory knowledge; prior experience preferred but not required.
Active Florida Medical Technologist license (or pending approval).
Bachelors degree in Medical Technology Clinical Laboratory Sciences or a related field.
MT/MLS registry required.
ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
Responsibilities
Perform complex microscopic immunologic bacteriologic hematologic serologic and chemical analyses.
Receive and process specimens while maintaining proper inventory and laboratory supplies.
Troubleshoot and resolve instrument issues performing minor repairs and documenting corrective actions.
Execute quality control procedures in compliance with laboratory policies.
Participate in the training and orientation of new employees and students.
Assist with phlebotomy and accessioning duties as needed.
Ensure adherence to laboratory safety standards regulatory requirements and accreditation guidelines.
Collaborate with clinical teams to provide accurate and timely diagnostic results.
Maintain precise documentation of test results quality control logs maintenance records and corrective actions.
