Requirements

Requirements of the DT - Dialysis Technician

MUST have DT certification in the state of Ohio

MUST hold a current CPR Certification

MUST be authorized to Work in the US without Sponsorship

Responsibilities of the DT - Dialysis Technician

Obtains and documents pre-dialysis vital signs to include weight and temperature Inspects patients dialysis access and inserts needed and initiates dialysis according to unit protocol and patient prescription

Prepares dialysate according to established procedures and patients prescription

Measures calculates and adjusts blood flow rates according to established protocols and prescription

Administers anticoagulant according to unit protocols and prescription

Changes fluid removal rate and patient position and administers Normal Saline as directed by RN ALP order or unit protocol
