JOB SUMMARY: Plans and coordinates student-related educational programs. Develops curricula prepares relevant presentations and materials and organizes and delivers and/or facilitates classes workshops seminars and other training services to enhance the overall educational process. Provides student advisement and associated services as appropriate. May research and prepare promotional material.
CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet one on one with students for test taking strategies;
- Develop and implement a variety of learning strategies to help facilitate the educational process;
- Review school/life balance by discussing approaches to being successful in school (i.e. healthy eating sleep review study habits etc.);
- Assist with student anxiety issues that a student may be experiencing regarding testing or in the classroom;
- Evaluate learning issues the student is currently struggling with or put in place procedures to prevent the same from happening;
- Manages and facilitates program activities to include classes trainings conferences seminars and/or other special projects;
- As appropriate to the nature and objectives of the individual role provides student advisement and support services coordinates curriculum and serves as a student liaison and advocate with faculty and staff;
- Develops and maintains records and databases on student and program activities materials equipment and supplies;
- Writes edits and coordinates development of course catalogs promotional materials educational materials training manuals newsletters and/or brochures as appropriate to the program; Faculty member will contribute and be responsible for overall student success including but not limited to advising and student outcomes;
- Faculty member will contribute directly to the Mission of LECOM embodying the essence of Osteopathic Principles and Practices by assisting with Institutional fundraising and participating in the LECOM Scholarship Auction;
- Faculty member will participate in scholarly activity so to enrich and broaden the student learning experience;
- Faculty member will commit to being a representative of LECOM by being actively involved in the community including but not limited to serving on Boards participating in community fundraisers and overall outreach; and
- Accept other duties as needed /assigned by supervisors and/or their designee to maintain efficient and effective daily operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to: a bachelors degree with five to ten (5-10) years experience in an educational setting required. Masters or other higher level degree preferred.
