Job Summary
The Laboratory Coordinator is responsible for performing diagnostic laboratory procedures and supporting daily operations within the clinical laboratory. This role ensures accuracy quality and compliance while assisting in laboratory testing specimen processing and operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine diagnostic procedures to isolate and identify microbial pathogens from clinical specimens.
Prepare specimens and operate automated analyzers; perform manual tests when required following detailed protocols.
Maintain a thorough understanding of laboratory testing techniques instruments and physiological conditions affecting results.
Stay knowledgeable about all testing procedures performed within the laboratory.
Participate in or assist with special projects evaluation of new instruments/products and quality control processes.
Required Skills & Experience
Education & Licensure
Associate degree or equivalent combination of laboratory experience and education.
Clinical Laboratory Technician License required.
BLS (American Heart Association) required.
