Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Dialysis Nurse you will provide specialized compassionate nursing care for patients undergoing various dialysis treatments ensuring their safety and optimal clinical outcomes.
Every day you will assess patient conditions proficiently initiate and monitor dialysis treatments educate patients on their disease and treatment plan meticulously manage vascular access and ensure strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
To be successful in this role you will combine a strong clinical background in dialysis with meticulous attention to detail exceptional patient education skills and the ability to manage complex care plans while advocating for our patients well-being.
- Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
- Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
- Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
- Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
- Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect if identified.
- Understands role of and how to access the Bioethics Committee.
$5000 sign on for eligible new hires with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Job Requirements
Minimum:
- Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS certification
- One year of dialysis experience required.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures a thorough knowledge and skills in the techniques of the nursing care of the dialysis patient as well as critical care patients including expertise in the use of dialysis equipment resuscitation equipment and monitoring equipment such as EKG. (Must also be able to make astute observations of the patients condition and take immediate action in emergencies.)
Preferred:
- One year recent acute care experience
- One year of recent stroke care experience
- Bachelor degree in health related field
- Computer literacy
- Current ACLS certification
