Required Experience
Deliverables:
Ontario Health requires a Sr. Business Analyst to lead end-to-end business analysis in support of complex I&IT initiatives. The resource will work with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather document and translate requirements into clear specifications that enable fit-for-purpose analyses and data solutions. The analyst will support strategy development business cases end-user training and feasibility assessments while applying industry best practices standard methodologies and IM standards. Responsibilities include facilitating requirements sessions developing process and data models supporting traceability advising on business analysis standards and preparing high-quality documentation such as briefings and presentations.This resource will be critical to support the delivery of the successful design and implementation of the CCSO data collection analysis and reporting activities within the Ontario Healths analytic infrastructure; being transitioned from UHN and ultimately being retired within UHN.
- Documentation of available and relevant data sources
- Mapping of analytics requirements to data sources and deliverables.
- Identification of gaps against business requirements.
- Support creation of project plans risk/issue logs and progress tracking reports.
- Documentation ensuring data assets meet legal regulatory and privacy standards.
- Clear accessible explanations of data models pipelines and processes for non-technical stakeholders.
- Documentation as per analytic requirements: data dictionaries lineage diagrams processes workflows data information sheets data and Information assets catalogue.
- Validation feedback on reporting templates SQL scripts and dashboards for accuracy and actionable insights.
- Identification of data issues root cause analysis and recommendations for remediation.
- Technical details for Data Engineering to implement in Azure Data Hub (ADH).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Advise business and analytics teams on available data assets and suitability for project needs.
- Identify data gaps and opportunities by comparing requirements to existing sources.
- Support project planning progress monitoring and risk/issue management.
- Ensure analytic assets comply with legal regulatory and privacy standards.
- Translate technical concepts into clear guidance and documentation for business users.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data sources usage processes and roles.
- Review reporting templates and scripts for accuracy and actionable insights.
- Participate in requirements gathering to ensure analytics needs are captured.
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues providing recommendations for improvement.
- Work with Data Engineering to configure pipelines and support analytic asset production in the Azure Data Hub (ADH).
- Document analytic assets including updates to asset dictionaries and product catalogues.
Skills and Knowledge:
