The impact youll make:

Reporting into the Senior Distribution Manager the Production Manager is a key member of our Operations team responsible for the complete management of kitting and rework at our Distribution Center. The position encompasses planning coordination and operational follow-up to ensure timely and efficient production of our kitted product line and processing rework activities as required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail a solid understanding of kitting/manufacturing processes and the ability to work in a fast-paced quality-driven environment. A key success factor will be linking strong planning and people management skills to execute in a cost effective and timely manner.

What youll do:

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet business goals ensuring efficient use of materials labour and equipment.
  • Pick components and materials according to production work orders and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Verify part numbers quantities and lot codes to ensure accuracy and traceability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and purchasing to resolve shortages or discrepancies.
  • Label and package kits according to company industry and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with Production Planning to ensure that production kits are assembled with the appropriate components and quantities to satisfy the manufacturing run. This involves picking parts for kitting according to the pick list and our standard procedures.
  • Stage kits for production lines to meet manufacturing schedules.
  • Participate in inventory cycle count and other duties as require.
  • Establish monitor and enforce quality control standards to ensure all products meet required specifications.
  • Develop maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as per Good
  • Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements in collaboration with the Quality Team.
  • Develop implement and manage KPIs for all areas and functions within your department.
  • Manage and supervise production staff including hiring GMP training and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and manage production budgets monitoring expenses to ensure operations remain within budget.
  • Manage DC and offsite DC inventory products FIFO co-manufacture components request and obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure timely resolution and communication of any issues regarding people functions labor requirements safety hazards.
  • Identification and execution of continuous improvement opportunities in partnership with cross functional departments business partners and external vendors.

Wed love to hear from you if you have:

  • Progressive experience in operations focused on manufacturing and/or more specifically kitting of finished goods within a retail or eCommerce environment.
  • Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and managing KPIs SOPs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working within GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management production planning and quality control processes.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma Kaizen) is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage conflict provide constructive feedback and foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    Comfortable working in a dynamic evolving environment with shifting priorities.

The compensation range for this position is from $ annually. Base pay is dependent to market location and mayvary depending on job-related knowledge skills experience and internal equity.
