We have an exciting role on offer within our Ethnic Minority Achievement Team (EMAT) as a Specialist Teaching Assistant Traveller Education.
About Us
The Ethnic Minority Achievement Team (EMAT) is a team of professionals including teachers teaching assistants and family support workers. We work with schools families and other professionals to support pupils who speak English as an additional language (EAL) and Traveller Fair and Circus pupils to access high-quality education.
Your role will involve supporting schools and Traveller families in ensuring
Traveller children access education. This shall also include supporting Traveller
parents/carers to improve their childrens attendance thereby improving their
access to learning enabling all Traveller children and young people to maximise
their educational opportunities.
To be successful in this role you need knowledge and qualifications needed for the role (see Job description and Person Specification).
You will have a responsibility for carrying out the 15 duties and responsibilities outlined under the Duties and Responsibilities section of the Job description.
