The Accounting and Reporting Director will be a key leadership role at ib vogt responsible for overseeing the financial integrity of the company while driving operational excellence in financial management and reporting. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) the Accounting and Reporting Director will manage a dynamic globally distributed finance team ensuring the highest standards of accounting financial reporting and internal controls across the organization.
- Oversee and ensure the integrity of all financial accounting reporting and compliance with international financial standards including IFRS and local GAAP
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting working with operating accounting teams
- Provide strategic insights through financial reporting and analysis to support executive decision-making and long-term planning
- Work closely with senior management and the supervisory board to align goals
- Develop implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards
- Monitor and analyse financial data to detect potential risks inefficiencies or irregularities. Implement risk management protocols and corrective actions to prevent financial loss and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Introduce automation and digitalization initiatives to streamline financial operation workflows reduce manual effort and enhance reporting accuracy
- Drive improvements of ERP systems and tools to support the above
- Partner closely with the treasury corporate finance tax sales investment management legal and business units to ensure alignment on financial strategy and decision-making
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or masters degree in accounting finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role ideally within the renewable energy sector high growth industry or audit firm. Experience with private equity portfolio companies is a plus
- Proven track record in managing finance operations in wide-spread global organizations particularly those in the renewable energy project-related businesses or growth sectors
- Extensive experience in overseeing group financial reporting budgeting and forecasting across multiple business units and regions
- Strong experience in implementing ERP systems improving finance processes and driving operational efficiency
- A mature inspiring leader with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams and foster a culture for continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders
- Strong analytical capabilities with a focus on providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in business German is preferred
