What will you be doing
Were looking for an ILS Engineer to support major defence and aerospace programmes. Youll be responsible for ensuring systems are designed with through-life supportability in mind from concept through to in-service support.
Youll work closely with engineering procurement and suppliers to influence design decisions and deliver effective support solutions.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Deliver through-life support and sustainment across the full system lifecycle.
Develop and manage:
- Technical manuals
- Spares provisioning
- Training solutions
- Maintenance concepts
- Test and support equipment
Perform logistics and reliability analysis:
- LSAR LORA FMECA RBD Life Cycle Cost (LCC)
Manage ILS tools and data:
- Omega PS S1000D-compliant documentation
- Influence system design for supportability and reliability
- Support ILS planning risk management contracts and budgeting
Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Degree in Engineering Logistics or similar (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience using:
- S1000D ASD 4000 Omega PS
- LORA FMECA MIL-STD-217 RBD
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident working with data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication across multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Understanding of defence procurement and regulations
