(Founding) Tech Lead Backend

Job Description:
Join as a Founding Tech Lead to build an AI-native backend platform that processes high-volume unstructured data and automates complex workflows. Youll own critical systems drive core architectural decisions and integrate machine intelligence across the platform. This hands-on role provides a path to engineering leadership while shaping the technical direction and culture of a Sequoia Arc alumni company.

Location: Berlin Germany

What you will do:

Design and build high-performance backend services using TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
Develop distributed event-driven AI-enabled components including LLM integrations and model orchestration.
Establish strong infrastructure foundations using AWS Terraform and modern DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate:

Experienced in building scalable backend systems with and distributed architectures.
Deep expertise with AWS Terraform automation monitoring and reliability engineering.
Exhibits founder-like traits: builder mentality bias for action strong communication and systems thinking.
