Casual Journalist/Newsreader Opportunity at 4BC. Join Nine Radios dynamic news team to deliver fast fair and smart breaking news to our listeners.
Day to day you will:
- Compile and deliver half-hourly and hourly news bulletins.
- Conduct interviews and compile news content from a variety of sources.
- Read news bulletins on air in a clear concise and engaging manner.
- Communicate breaking news to program presenters producers and other internal stakeholders.
- Share news content and collaborate with colleagues across the national radio network.
- Work a 5-day roster and function as a self-starter making daily editorial decisions independently.
- Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues in the newsroom and the wider station team including producers and presenters.
Qualifications :
What youll bring:
- Possess sharp attention to detail ensuring work is accurate and meticulously checked complemented by excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
- Hold a tertiary qualification in journalism communications or a related field and ideally have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a broadcast environment.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Maintain a solid understanding of Australias political system and media law.
- Demonstrate exceptional time management skills and be adept at conflict management.
