TRACR Suite Instructor- Camp Buehring Kuwait
V2X has a requirement for a Targetry Range Automated Control and Recording (TRACR) Suite Instructor with experience in Unified Land Operations maneuver capabilities gunnery range operations small-arms range operations and military instruction. The TRACR Suite Instructor will work directly under the supervision of the Range Support Supervisor at URSC SWORD Udairi Kuwait.
Primary Duties:
* Instructing URC customer operators on the TRACR Suite system keeping lesson plans and training aids up to date ensuring all TRACR Suite-enabled ranges remain fully functional assist with troubleshooting the TRACR systems on the ranges and serving as the Range Safety Technician for all TRACR-enabled ranges.
*This Instructor will also ensure the training of all unit personnel operating the TRACR Suite system on the Udairi Range Complex (URC) assist in scenario & lesson-plan development and the implementation of the TRACR Suite instructional program.
*Duties also include ensuring units train safely on the TRACR-installed ranges IAW ASG-KU Policy and Procedures.
*A successful candidate must be a United States citizen with proof of citizenship and a current U.S. passport.
Required Hours:
Standard work week will be six (6) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40-hour work week while at CONUS work sites.
Responsibilities:
- Plan prepare and implement TRACR Suite training for unit operators and Range Operations personnel.
- Train unit TRACR Suite operators requiring the use of TRACR supported ranges on the URC (MPRC & SRGC).
- Inspect unit OICs RSOs and TRACR operators for proper range procedures and safety on the URC TRACR Suite-enabled ranges.
- Provide TRACR Suite SME support to training units utilizing TRACR-enabled ranges.
- Provide range expertise in the conduct and operation of ranges.
- Maintain and record all training classes and participants for validation purposes.
- Advise the Range Operations Lead on TRACR Suite-enabled range integration and support.
- Maintain currency on all aspects of the TRACR systems AR 385-63 and local URC policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned /directed.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years experience in Unified Land Operations maneuver capabilities and gunnery range operations infantry and small arms training. Extensive instructional and training background.
- Subject Matter Expertise on U.S. Military weapon systems Infantry operations maneuver and gunnery capabilities and operations and the TRACR system.
- Instructional experience at Military Center of Excellence (COE) or Battalion level.
- Knowledge of all weapons systems in an Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT).
- Knowledge of range operations at a major training site such as CTCs and NTC.
- Expertise and experience operating the TRACR system on live-fire ranges.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under deadlines while adhering to all applicable safety guidelines including AR 385-63 DA Pam 385-63 and Area Support Group Kuwait Range Operations Standardized Operating Procedures.
- Knowledgeable with AR 385-63 Range Safety and DA Pam 385-63 Range Safety.
- Possess knowledge and technical expertise in the use of all Microsoft Office products Microsoft Internet Explorer and Adobe Acrobat products.
- Demonstrated skills in the principles and techniques of military instruction.
- Able to work closely with other team members Customers and End Users.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must currently possess at a minimum an interim Secret security clearance and be able to obtain/maintain an active/valid US Secret security clearance.
- Ability to multi-task and interface on a regular basis with military leaders managers and trainers.
- Self-starter with good organizational skills who can work both independently and as a member of an integrated team; excellent problem-solving skills.
- Highly proficient in reading and using a map giving and accepting directions in topographical terms and in communicating map information with other members of the Range Operations team.
Other Requirements
- Must be willing to live and work in an austere desert environment.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must have a valid drivers license able to obtain a US Government Motor Vehicle Operators License and Kuwait Drivers License.
- US citizenship is required as this position needs an active/current DOD Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
- Must possess a US Passport with at least 2 years of remaining eligibility.
- Meet medical requirements for position as determined by a pre-employment medical screening & published CRC and USCENTCOM medical deployment standards.
- Walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to 8 hours/day & sit for up to 3 hours/day; climb/descend stairs; grasp or handle objects; use finger dexterity; bend elbows/knees; reach above/below shoulders; read/interpret typewritten print; communicate by voice & detect sound by ear.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on a US government contract in Southwest Asia.
- NCO Advanced Course graduate or equivalent schooling.
- Sergeant First Class or above.
- Knowledge of military training methodologies.
- Anticipate requirements and suggest implement and follow up on solutions.
- Knowledge of military protocols and procedures.
Required Education:
- Bachelors degree in training Management Business or a related field from an accredited institution and four (4) years work experience. Eight (8) years of additional equivalent work experience (12 total years) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS education requirement.
- Able to complete the Range Operations Professional Development (ROPD) Program IAW AR 350-19 within 30-days of hiring.
Contractor personnel shall comply with all theater command policies regulations and General Orders. All tours are unaccompanied.
