About the job:

Based in The Hague Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATOs Digital Endeavour. You will join The Air Command and Control (AirC2) Business Area. AirC2 ensures the harmonised planning implementation deployment evolution and support of the Air Command and Control (AirC2) and Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) programmes as well as other assigned programmes. AirC2 is the procurement and implementation body of the NCI Agency charged with the effective planning execution delivery into service evolution and through-life logistic support of NATOs and assigned national AirC2 and BMD systems.

We are now seeking to hire a Full Stack Software Development Engineer - AirC2 Applications. You will bring your expertise to The Planning Products Service Area which is responsible for the management of all planning products related projects and services. The Service Area delivers products and continuous support to the Ballistic Missile Defence Programme NCIA areas and throughout the NATO landscape. This includes effective planning execution and implementation of NSIP and third party projects across the entire project lifecycle.

Your role will include responsibilities in the following areas:

**Internally this position is titled: Software Development Engineer

About you

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

• A minimum requirement of a Bachelors degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience.

• Or exceptionally the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidates particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency that is at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.

• At least 2 years recent experience implementing software in object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C C C# ADA Java);

• At least 2 years of recent experience in software engineering of large-scale distributed software;

• At least 2 years practical experience in tools and procedures applied in a collaborative DevSecOps environment

• Up-to-date knowledge of software engineering related methods techniques metrics and tools;

• Up-to-date knowledge of computer system architectures operating systems LAN/WAN and computer networks concepts.
