Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Cardiac Sonographer you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
Every day you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure heart rhythm disorders and acute myocardial infarction supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs.
To be successful in this role you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment master proper patient positioning techniques and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers
- Performs diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound pro-cedures in accordance with department standards and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician
- Operates all ultrasound equipment computers and accessories
- Demonstrates competency in film-processing procedures
- Identifies and initiates accurate assessment of life-threatening conditions.
- Troubleshoots equipment and cooperates with service personnel in order to maintain minimal down time. Initiates service calls on all equipment assigned to the area
- Charges exams and supplies on a daily basis when work is completed. Maintains and updates the patient log on a daily basis.
Job Requirements
- Three (3) years experience performing Ultrasound procedures in an outpatient facility if not RDMS
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire or
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI upon hire or
- Registered Vascular Technologist upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer upon hire
