As a Software EngineerIIat JPMorgan Chase within the Equities Technology Team you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technicalexpertiseand problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technicalteams
- Continuously improve software development processes and tools to ensure efficient and effective software development
- Collaborate with the software development team and stakeholders toidentifyand prioritize software needs
- Design and implement software solutions with a focus onoptimizingperformance and ensuring high reliability.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues and providetimelyresolutions
- Stay current with industry trends emerging technologies best practices and recommend innovations in software development
- Provide technical mentorship to team members helping them grow their skills and advance their careers
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering Mathematics or other related disciplines
- 5 or more years of software engineering experience. Mastery in Java with respect to designing coding testing and software delivery
- StrongproficiencyinJava17OracleSpring BootReactJS
- Exposure to AWS infrastructure and services
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and Operational stakeholders
- Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
