The College of Veterinary Medicine invites applicants to apply for the position of Laboratory Technologist Endocrinology located within the Biomedical and Diagnostic Sciences department. Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor this position maintains the quality and efficiency of the Diagnostic Endocrinology Service. Responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting routine hormone analysis on clinical specimens assisting with specimen accessioning performing general laboratory tasks adhering to safety procedures maintaining client confidentiality and providing customer service.

Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Fundamental knowledge of laboratory safety and techniques including working with biohazardous and radioactive materials.
Knowledge of how to properly use and maintain laboratory equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Skilled in various computer programs such as Microsoft Office Microsoft 365 VistA (hospital computer system).
Ability to follow instructions and protocols precisely.
Knowledge of radioimmunoassays preferred.
The Veterinary Medical Center is operational 24 hours a day 7 days per week and 365 days per year. Occasional weekend evening or holiday work may be required of this position.
