Technical Leadership & Design Governance
Work closely with Product Owners and team members to clarify incoming change requests from a technical perspective.
Bring the technical point of view to backlog refinement and prioritization including scoping complexity assessment and effort estimation of technical changes.
Own the end-to-end technical design for SAP FICO products/platforms across their lifecycle.
Create fit-for-purpose and fit-for-use technical design specifications for prioritized backlog items.
Ensure non-functional requirements (performance scalability reliability security data integrity) are fully incorporated into the design.
Design Quality Integrity & Compliance
Maintain alignment of technical design with enterprise architecture cybersecurity requirements data standards and compliance frameworks.
Ensure technical designs support the long-term IT Product/Platform roadmap.
Continuously reduce unnecessary complexity by minimizing custom developments and promoting standard SAP/S/4HANA functionalities.
Ensure that technical dependencies across products and platforms are properly planned coordinated and delivered following architecture guidelines.
Change Review Validation & Approval
Review validate and approve all technical design documents and configuration changes.
Provide expert-level technical guidance to team members developers and analysts.
Ensure Flow IT processes (Develop & Release Govern Architecture Govern Quality etc.) are followed consistently.
Lifecycle Management & Continuous Improvement
Take a lifecycle view of the SAP FICO product/platform proactively identifying opportunities to improve system performance user experience and operational efficiency.
Identify and address technical debt and ensure long-term maintainability of the solution.
Participate actively in resolving critical production incidents and preventing recurrence.
Drive continuous improvements and innovations in SAP FICO processes and tools.
Expectations / Required Background
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant with 1014 years of end-to-end SAP Finance & Controlling experience. The ideal candidate must demonstrate:
Functional & Technical Expertise
Deep functional knowledge of Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) in SAP ECC or S/4HANA.
Hands-on configuration experience in:
o FI-GL FI-AP FI-AR FI-AA Bank Accounting
o CO-CCA CO-PCA Internal Orders Product Costing COPA
Strong understanding of integration with SD MM PP PM HR and other modules.
Ability to translate business requirements into high-quality technical design.
Experience developing functional and technical specifications for interfaces enhancements workflows and reports.
Good understanding of IDocs BAPIs APIs user exits BADIs and enhancement frameworks.
Leadership & Collaboration
Ability to guide and mentor team members on technical approaches and best practices.
Strong stakeholder management communication and facilitation skills.
Experience leading SAP implementations upgrades or complex enhancement projects.
Problem Solving & Support
Proven track record in handling production support root-cause analysis and defect resolution.
Capability to work in global environments across multiple time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with S/4HANA Finance Universal Journal New Asset Accounting Bank Communication Management
Experience with Agile/Hybrid delivery models
Familiarity with automation RPA or SAP BTP tools
