Reports to: Technical Project Manager Platform Delivery & Architecture
We need a hands-on DevOps engineer who can:
Stand-up repeatable GCP infrastructure (Terraform GKE Linkerd mesh).
Own CI/CD (Bitbucket Pipelines GCP) observability and automated security gates.
Keep delivery velocity high while the product is still a moving target.
Core Responsibilities
Build and maintain GCP infrastructure (GKE CloudSQL Pub/Sub Cloud Monitoring API Gateway IAP).
Codify everything (Terraform Helm GitOps).
Wire up service mesh (Linkerd) for mTLS canary and traffic shaping.
Manage Bitbucket Pipelines automated tests artifact versioning and release promotion.
Implement logging/metrics/alerting with Cloud Ops Grafana and Prometheus.
Champion security (least privilege IAM Secrets Manager container scanning).
Partner with backend front-end iOS and data teams to embed DevOps best practice.
Document run-books disaster-recovery and on-call rotation.
Must-Have Skills
36 years of Kubernetes (GKE) experience in production.
Solid Terraform skills for GCP (CloudSQL Pub/Sub Cloud Monitoring).
CI/CD expertise with Bitbucket Pipelines GitHub Actions or GitLab.
Observability stack experience (Prometheus/Grafana or Cloud Monitoring).
Strong scripting ability (Python or Bash).
Builder mindset: bias to automate embrace ambiguity work cross-functionally.
Nice-to-Have
Hands-on Linkerd (or other service mesh) experience.
Familiarity with Neo4j or graph database ops.
Background in regulated industries (aviation finance healthcare).
Knowledge of iOS build systems (Xcode fastlane).
Exposure to React or SwiftUI pipelines.
