Job Summary
An international financial services provider in Malta is seeking a talented Legal Counsel to work alongside some of Maltas best legal minds within the corporate and M&A field. As a Legal Counsel you will have the opportunity to be actively involved in various areas of law including but not limited to Corporate Law Contract Law the law regulating trusts and foundations Employment Law and Tax Law.
Although experience will be considered an asset new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Salary: 30K40K
Role & Responsibilities
Support the legal team in a variety of tasks that may change on a day-to-day basis
Assist in drafting all documentation required for M&A transactions under Maltese corporate law
Take an active role in cross-border mergers acquisitions and redomiciliation projects as well as in setting up and administering trusts and foundations
Assist with day-to-day casework and liaise directly with clients and relevant authorities
Manage individual client relationships independently
Education Skills & Experience
Doctor of Laws / Master of Advocacy
Candidates who are not yet warranted lawyers are also encouraged to apply
No work experience required
Excellent command of English both written and spoken
A genuine passion for Corporate Law
Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver results
Reliable proactive and detail-oriented
