Provide patient care in a clinic and hospital setting. Diagnose and treat diseases of the esophagus stomach small intestine colon and rectum pancreas gallbladder bile ducts and liver. Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the patient. Examine patients for symptoms of organic or congenital disorders. Prescribe medications and treatments. Perform diagnostic surgical and therapeutic procedures. Determine hospital admissions and discharges. May be called upon to provide care at Mayo Clinic and related institutions on an as-needed basis subject to licensure requirements program rules and institutional policy.
MD DO or foreign degree equivalent. Eligible for Wisconsin medical license. BE/BC in Gastroenterology or in final year of ACGME-accredited program leading to board eligibility in Gastroenterology
