The turbine doctor makes an overall system level diagnoses of the turbine and develops a clear plan to get each turbine at its health entitlement through implementation of medicine (i.e. retrofits/software improvements). To do so the Turbine Doctor will develop standard work for reviewing amongst others the turbine performance (availability trip rate part failures etc) outstanding work orders open PLIs and required retrofits and then proactively pushes the broader organization to implement the required fixes for the turbine to reach its potential. The role requires general understanding of wind turbine design and operation.

The health checks include amongst others checking for performance (e.g. availability trip rate safe state degraded mode operation etc) tracking of Break-In-Maintenance and annual maintenance due dates completion status of performance related retrofits / PLIs / work orders.
  • Understand for each turbine in the population when health improvements will be implemented and maintain a tracker with actual and future status. This requires strong interaction with other functions (e.g Sourcing Project Operations PLI team Engineering) to develop such plans and to create a sense of urgency to get improvements quicker.
