Responsibilities
The Housemans primary duty is providing assistance to the housekeeping staff.
- As a Houseman you would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated areas of the hotel and responding to guest requests in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
- Assist room attendants by delivering linens towels amenities and supplies.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate with the front desk and housekeeping team.
- Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Clean designated areas including but not limited to restrooms public areas offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.
- Perform tasks including but not limited to dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures vacuuming mopping sweeping shampooing carpets washing windows cleaning/waxing floors removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays.
- Greet guests in a friendly manner.
- Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair.
- Stock and maintain supply rooms as needed.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects.
- Follow companys safety and security policies and procedures.
- Perform other job related tasks and duties required by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift push and pull up to 40-50lbs
- Ability to stand walk and bend for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and time management skill
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
Work Environment
- Fast-paced hospitality setting
- Requires physical work including lifting moving equipment and handling cleaning materials.
